Weather Changes Things, Including Birds of Prey Programs at West Virginia’s State ParksSOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Three Rivers Avian Center’s (TRAC) “Wings of Wonder” program is an annual interpretative program presented at many of West Virginia’s state parks and forests. Recent weather disruptions have created the need to reschedule a few of the birds of prey programs that had been scheduled this summer. “Owls, hawks and eagles are birds of prey. People, youth and adults have a genuine interest in learning about their habits and to see some up close,” said Sissie Summer, programmer with the West Virginia State Parks system. “We are fortunate that TRAC has been able to reschedule a number of their appearances that bad weather had forced them to cancel.” Everyone is welcome to attend the TRAC programs, which are appropriate for all ages and are free to attend. For additional information about TRAC, visit www.tracwv.org. Times vary from park to park. To confirm the exact location for the program of the remaining Wings of Wonder - Birds of Prey presentation, call the park directly. Other events and activities at West Virginia’s state parks are posted online at www.wvstateparks.com.
