Bring in 2013 at a West Virginia State Parks Celebration
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – You, your friends and family can bring in lucky 2013 by attending one of several New Year’s Eve parties planned at West Virginia’s state parks. Park lodges are offering a variety of dinners and dances and packaged options. Lodge parks offering parties include Blackwater Falls, Cacapon Resort, Canaan Valley Resort, Chief Logan Lodge, North Bend, Pipestem Resort, Stonewall Resort, and Twin Falls Resort.

The New Year at Blackwater Falls includes a variety of special weekends and getaways. A New Year’s Eve is a good starting point at this Tucker County destination. Blackwater Falls has a dinner and dance planned for December 31 to bring in 2013 as well as an overnight package that includes lodging and a breakfast buffet. A chaperoned youth party for children 4-12 is also part of the package options. The youth party includes crafts, games, singing and other activities. Bring in the 2013 New Year at Cacapon with a bang! Celebrate with live music, dancing, and a formal toast to start off a New Year. The festivities begin at 9 p.m. There is an overnight package available and the restaurant is open. Overnight Package cost is $133.06/single, $207.16/couple and includes lodging, dinner and breakfast, entertainment, midnight toast, and taxes. Ring in the New Year with TWO great party options. Family party includes buffet dinner, family games and DJ entertainment, punch toast at midnight and party favors. The adult party includes buffet dining in the Hickory Room, access to the lounge party with live entertainment, plus champagne toast and party favors. Adult Party: $30 per person. Bring in 2013 at Chief Logan Lodge. Live music will be provided by "East Street Band" featured at Picking in the Park. The New Year’s Eve Package is $149 and includes overnight at the lodge, dinner for two, two drink tickets, champagne toast. Dinner/Party only is $97.60 per couple. Chief Logan Lodge is located one mile from US 119 between Chapmanville and Logan. Open year-round, the facility features an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant, and impressive conference facilities. A night of activities, music and lots of fun are in store at Pipestem Resort State Park. The overnight package will include lodging at McKeever Lodge, dinner and dance on Monday evening for two and a champagne toast at midnight. Spend a fun, relaxing New Year's Eve in Stonewall Resort's lodge! The New Year’s Eve – Stillwaters Package for two includes dinner in Stillwaters Restaurant with a delicious menu prepared by the award-winning culinary team. Then ring in the New Year in the TJ Muskies lounge, with live music starting at 9 p.m., or relax by the warm, crackling fire in the Grand Hall with a glass of wine and live music.

Twin Falls State Park is going “Around the World” on New Year’s Eve! “To bring in the 2013 New Year, Twin Falls is decorating with a worldwide theme and we’re encouraging evening attire such as would be worn by a tourist or international visitor. We’re planning on a festive evening,” said Bryan Danford, activity coordinator. The evening includes a dance, singing, visual effects, dinner and the traditional midnight toast.
Twin Falls New Year’s Eve packages includes a night lodging in cabins or lodge, full dinner and dance, evening refreshments, party favors and midnight toasts. Music is by DJ Will Shumate and a cash bar is onsite. The overnight package is $226 per couple. Cabin and other packaged prices are available. Reservations are required.
