Country-Western Dance Weekend at Pipestem Resort, Jan. 24-26, 2014

PIPESTEM, W.Va. - Karen Mudge and Eddie Bowles of Kickin’ Kountry Couples are dance instructors at Pipestem Resort State Park’s Country-Western Dance Weekend Jan. 24-26, 2014. The weekend includes Friday and Saturday evenings of open dance with dance reviews.

“New dances will be taught prior to open dancing Friday evening and Saturday morning and afternoon,” said Kim Hawkins, activities coordinator at Pipestem Resort. The park anticipates 50 or more couples will register for the dance weekend.

The weekend package includes two nights lodging at McKeever Lodge, instruction and dances and Saturday evening dinner in the park’s Bluestone Dining Room. The package cost per couple based on double occupancy is $207.88 and includes taxes and gratuities. A cash bar will be available Saturday evening. A rate is available for anyone who wants the instruction and dance without an overnight stay.

Pipestem State Park offers several dances and dance workshop weekends in the winter months. “Dancing never goes out of style,” Hawkins said.
