Lumberport ponds in Harrison County closed to public
FARMINGTON, W.Va. — Due to a recent change in land ownership, the Lumberport ponds located in Harrison County are no longer open to the public, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
The town of Lumberport does not own the property surrounding the ponds, but had been granted a right-of-way by the former landowner to allow public access. The ponds will be removed from the DNR’s regulations as publicly accessible waters for fishing. ###
