West Virginia State Parks Offering Veterans Appreciation Lodging Discount Nov. 1-15

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — As a way to thank veterans and military personnel for their service, West Virginia State Parks is offering a 50 percent discount on lodge rooms and cabins Nov. 1-15, 2018.

“Each year, we recognize our visitors who have served or are currently serving our country by offering this veterans appreciation program,” said Sam England, chief for West Virginia State Parks. “West Virginia State Parks thanks all veterans for all the sacrifices they’ve made.”

The discount is available to all military personnel who have served or are in reserve or active duty. Reservations can be made at wvstateparks.com with the promotional code, VETERAN. Those who use the discount are asked to present a military ID or proof of veteran status upon check in.

The offer is subject to availability and regular minimum stay requirements and cannot be combined with other packages, discounts or promotions. Two-night reservations are suggested on weekends. Reservations are requested in advance.

Participating parks and forests include: Beech Fork, Blackwater Falls, Bluestone, Cacapon Resort, Canaan Valley Resort, Cass Scenic Railroad (company house rentals), Chief Logan Lodge, Hawks Nest, Holly River, Lost River, North Bend, Pipestem Resort, Twin Falls Resort, Tygart Lake and Watoga, Cabwaylingo, Greenbrier and Kumbrabow.
