The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources allows the importation of certified triploid grass carp from certified vendors.

The WVDNR recommends that you contact the district fisheries biologist responsible for the county where the pond is located for recommendations regarding stocking rates an advise on the suitability of triploid grass carp to control your aquatic weed problem.

If you decide to stock triploid grass carp, you must obtain them from one of the vendors on the WVDNR approved vendors list.

West Virginia residents who have a pond in West Virginia may purchase grass carp without an importation permit.
