Schedule of activities

7:30	-	1:00		Registration
8:00	-	9:00		Fishing for Pre-School and Kindergarten age Children
9:30	-	10:30		Fishing for First and Second Grade Children
11:00	-	12:00		Fishing for Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Children
12:30	-	1:30		Fishing for Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grade Children
8:00	-	1:30		Catch and Release Pond Fishing Hours

Fishing Derby Rules

• All children must be registered. Bring the completed form with you. Click here to download form*.
• This event is for children ages 3-14.  Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
• Adults are not allowed to fish!  Adults can assist only (i.e. casting at the Put and Take Ponds).
• Two trout limit at Put and Take Pond.  Fishing is allowed only with bait; no fish are to be released.
• Younger kids may fish in older age groups until they catch their limit, but older kids are not allowed to fish in the younger age groups.
• At the Catch and Release Pond users must be able to cast without assistance.  Only artificial lures are to be used.  Lures with multiple hooks are to be barbless.  All trout caught from the Catch and Release Ponds must be released immediately in good condition.

Bowden Fish Hatchery, Randolph County, nine miles east of Elkins.
