Underwood Lake is a 1-acre impoundment located on YMCA’s Kennedy Center Recreation Area 5 miles north of Huntington on WV Route 2.

Description |
The lake was constructed in 2000 with a maximum depth of 6 feet with an average depth of 2.5 feet. Camping, night fishing, boating and the use of live minnows as bait are prohibited. A fishing pier is available. This lake is managed as a Children and Class Q Handicap Fishing Area.

Fishery |
Underwood Lake provides spring fishing for stocked trout to Children 10 and younger and Class Q License holders. This pond provides a limited warmwater fishery for sunfish, channel catfish and largemouth bass, however all bass must be released immediately back into the lake. The general public is permitted to fish for trout after May 31.
