Wallback Lake

  Lake  Wallback Lake 

  Acres  15 

  Directions  Wallback Lake is a 15-acre impoundment in Clay County located in the Wallback Wildlife Management Area. It is accessible from Exit 34 of I-79. 

  Description  The lake was built in 2004 with a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 10 feet. The lake is accessible by boat ramp and physically challenged accessible shoreline trail. 

  Fishery  Wallback Lake is managed as a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. It is stocked with trout from February through May. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  Electric motors only 

  Camping  No camping allowed 

  Spring Trout  Stocked once each month February through May 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may not be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is not allowed
