Fishery |
Turkey Run Lake is subject to flooding from the Ohio River and has many different species of fish. This lake provides winter and spring trout fishing and warmwater fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, spotted bass, bluegill, crappie, and several members of the catfish family. Trout are stocked in January and March. The presence of non-game species (carp and suckers) along with lake’s abundant shallow water area, makes Turkey Run Lake as excellent bow fishing area. Generally, bow fishing is done along the shoreline from either a boat or the bank in late spring and early summer. Non-game species only may be taken in this manner.
