Description |
Since 1951, 34 ponds have been constructed. All ponds have maximum depth of about 10 feet with average depths of 5 feet. Thirty-two of the ponds are open year-round to fishing, with exception of the two-week controlled waterfowl hunt, and two are closed year-round. Carry-in boat access, pit type toilets, and 10 rustic tent or trailer camping sites are provided. Trails around most of the ponds provide bank fishing access. Pond #10 has a fishing pier for physically challenged anglers. Electric motors only are allowed and the use of live minnows as bait is prohibited.

Fishery |
McClintic ponds provide warmwater fishing for sunfish, northern pike, largemouth bass, and channel catfish. Angling for largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish is good at all ponds. Northern pike are caught from several ponds. Fish attractors (logs and brush) are located in several ponds and are designated with signs on shore.
