Directions |
Fort Ashby Lake is a 12-acre impoundment located on the east side of the town of Fort Ashby in Mineral County. The lake is accessible by traveling 1 mile off WV Route 28 on County Route 28/5.

Description |
The lake was constructed in 1965 with a maximum depth of 35 feet and an average depth of 15 feet. Only bank fishing is allowed and camping is prohibited. A handicapped fishing pier is available near the middle parking area.

Fishery |
Fort Ashby Lake provides a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, sunfish, chain pickerel, channel catfish, and yellow bullheads. Trout are stocked once in February and bi-weekly March through May.
