Westover Park Pond

  Lake  Westover Park Pond 

  Acres  1.5 

  Directions  Westover Park Pond is a 1.5-acre impoundment located 1.5 miles west of Morgantown in Monongalia County. It is accessible from I-79 (Westover exit) to U. S. Route 19 north and County Route 45/14 south to Westover Park. 

  Description  The pond was built in 1955 with a maximum depth of 6 feet and an average depth of 2.5 feet. This lake is managed as a Children and Class Q Handicap Fishing Area. Boating, night fishing, and the use of live minnows as bait are prohibited. Camping is not available but picnic areas, one pavilion, toilet facilities, and tennis courts are located on the park property. 

  Fishery  Westover Park Pond provides spring fishing for stocked trout to Children 10 and younger and Class Q License holders. It also provides a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass and bluegill. The general public is permitted to fish for trout after May 31. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  No boating allowed 

  Camping  No camping allowed 

  Spring Trout  Stocked once in April 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may not be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is not allowed
