Cheat Lake, also known as Lake Lynn, is a 1730 acre lake in Monogalia County approximately 6 miles north east of Morgantown on I-68.

Description |
This lake was built in 1925 as a power generating reservoir. The lake is currently owned and operated by Allegheny Energy.

Fishery |
Cheat Lake is still impacted by acid mine drainage from the Cheat River, however populations of bass, catfish, walleye and northern pike are all present.
