Description |
This lake was built in 1933 with a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 10 feet. No boat launching ramp is available but rowboats may be rented at the lake. Gasoline boat motors, night fishing, use of live minnows for bait, and swimming are prohibited. Although camping is not permitted at the lake itself, 34 cabins and 3 campgrounds are within the park area. Fifty camping sites with bathhouse facilities and electric hook-ups remain open from the first of April until the first week of December. Thirty-eight sites with modern facilities remain open from May 1 through October 31 and 10 primitive camping sites are open year-round. Twenty-nine miles of hiking trails have been developed.
