North Bend State Park Pond

  Lake  North Bend State Park Pond 

  Acres  1.5 

  Directions  North Bend Pond is a 1.5-acre impoundment located on North Bend State Park near Harrisville in Ritchie County. It is accessible from WV Route 16 via County Route 5. 

  Description  The lake was built in 1960 with a maximum depth of 5 feet and an average depth of 4 feet. A trail completely surrounds the lake providing bank fishing access. Facilities available at North Bend State Park include cabins, campsites, a swimming pool, picnic areas, game courts, and hiking trails. Boating and the use of live minnows as bait are prohibited. Night fishing is only permitted by registered campers. 

  Fishery  North Bend Pond provides warmwater fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, sunfish, and channel catfish. Adult channel catfish are stocked annually in June. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  No boating allowed 

  Camping  Camping permit required from area manager 

  Spring Trout  Not stocked with trout 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may not be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing by registered campers only
