Pennsboro Water Supply Reservoir is a 9-acre impoundment located in the northeastern section of Ritchie County, 1.5 miles east of Pennsboro. It is accessible from County Route 50/40 via County Route 50/24.

Description |
The lake was built in 1967 with a maximum depth of 22 feet and an average depth of 12 feet. A trail completely surrounds the lake providing excellent fishing access. Boating with electric motors only is allowed, however launching is a challenge since no ramp is available. The use of live minnows as bait is prohibited.

Fishery |
Pennsboro Water Supply Reservoir provides winter and spring fishing for trout, and warmwater fishing for largemouth bass, sunfish, tiger musky, and channel catfish. Trout are stocked in January and March each year. Fishermen generally use large plugs or spoons when fishing for tiger musky
