Pipestem Lake is a 16-acre impoundment located in Pipestem State Park near the community of Pipestem in Summers County. It is accessible only to walk-in fishing by a paved trail near the main lodge or by horse trail near the stables.

Description |
The lake was built in 1969 at with a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 10 feet. The use of live minnows as bait and night fishing are prohibited. A campground is located in the park with 50 deluxe combination trailer and tent camping sites that are rented on a first come, first served basis. The campground is open all year (no water hook-ups in winter). Two lodges (totaling 143 rooms) and 25 deluxe cabins also offer overnight accommodations.

Fishery |
Pipestem Lake provides a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. Trout are stocked once each month February through May. Bluegill are abundant in the lake and a few large bass are taken in early spring or late fall. Fishing for channel catfish is good during the summer.
