Horse Creek Lake

  Lake  Horse Creek Lake 

  Acres  12 

  Directions  Horse Creek Lake is a 12-acre impoundment in Wyoming County located 3 miles from Baileysville and is accessible by WV Route 9 and Delta Route 36. 

  Description  The lake was built in the mid-1950ís with a maximum depth of 20 feet and an average depth of 10 feet. A trail surrounding the entire lake provides bank fishing access. Boating is permitted and electric motors only are allowed. The use of live minnows as bait and camping are prohibited. 

  Fishery  Horse Creek Lake provides a warm water fishery for largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. Trout are stocked once each month February through May. A few large bass are taken in early spring or late fall on spinners, deep-running lures, and worms. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  Electric motors only 

  Camping  No camping allowed 

  Spring Trout  Stocked once each month February through May 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may not be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is allowed
