CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA

As winter hunting and trapping seasons wind down, outdoorsmen should begin preparations for the spring season. Turkey hunters should obtain permission for hunting areas and make sure their gear is in good condition for the upcoming season. You may even consider attending NWTF events like the State calling contest on May 25 in Webster Springs. Sportsmen should also plan to attend annual regulations meeting during mid-March. These meeting are scheduled in a dozen locations March 17 and 18. Check www.wvdnr.gov for more information.
