Effective February 27, 2021

West Virginia is home to a diverse array of amphibians and reptiles that provide beneficial ecosystem functions and biodiversity to the Mountain State. Unfortunately, threats from collection, disease, and habitat degradation have reduced West Virginia's amphibian and reptile populations leading to the development of state rules aimed at protecting these at-risk taxa.

Title 58, Series 73 - Reptile and Amphibian Rule

For questions regarding these new regulations, please contact the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources at (304) 558-6200, or by email at DNR.Wildlife@wv.gov.
