WV Archery in the Schools

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR) would like to invite physical education instructors to participate in an exciting educational project called West Virginia's Archery in the Schools Program.

Through this program, physical education students will be given an opportunity to become involved in a life skill that has no barriers. Archery, unlike many sporting activities, is something in which boys and girls of all sizes can easily become involved, whether they are in school or out. With the strong interest in bowhunting and competitive shooting in West Virginia , there are unlimited opportunities for your students to participate in this activity outside the classroom and throughout their lifetimes.

The DNR would like to encourage you to discuss your school's participation in this archery program with your physical education instructor. Over the next couple of years, this program is going to become very successful and we would like to include your school as a participant.

For additional information on this program, or to attend one of the scheduled upcoming training courses, please contact Krista Snodgrass at (304) 558-2771 or via email at Krista.R.Snodgrass@wv.gov
