Barboursville Lake

  Lake  Barboursville Lake 

  Acres  17 

  Directions  Barboursville Lake is a 17-acre impoundment located on the City Barboursville’s Community Park in Cabell County. Access to the lake is by County Route 31 and 31/7. 

  Description  The lake was built in 1992 with a maximum depth of 10 feet and an average depth of 5 feet. A trail around the entire lake provides access for bank fishing. Camping, boating, night fishing and the use of live minnows are prohibited. 

  Fishery  Barboursville Lake provides spring and winter fishing for stocked trout and a warmwater fishery for bluegill, channel catfish and largemouth bass, however all bass less than 12 inches must be released back into the lake. Trout are stocked in January and March. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  No boating allowed 

  Camping  No camping allowed 

  Spring Trout  Stocked once in January and once in March 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may not be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is not allowed
