State Parks to host popular “Wings of Wonder – Birds of Prey” program

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Several West Virginia state parks and forests will host the popular “Wings of Wonder – Birds of Prey” program this summer. The program features six birds rehabilitated by the Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) in Brooks, West Virginia.

“The opportunity to see a hawk or owl up close is always exciting,” said Ken Zebo of North Bend State Park. “The Wings of Wonder program is fun, educational and enjoyed by guests of all ages. Ron and Wendy Perrone help the audience understand the importance of raptors, encourage questions and provide answers.”

Each summer, TRAC tours the state park system and offers this program, which is free and open to the public. TRAC is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to wild bird conservation and education. More information is available at www.tracwv.org and at www.wvstateparks.com.
