RD Bailey Lake

  Lake  RD Bailey Lake

  Directions  R. D. Bailey dam is on the Guyandotte River near the southern West Virginia town of Justice in Wyoming County. From Justice take Route 52 East. Turn left off route 52 at the R.D. Bailey sign. 

  Description  The lake was completed in 1980 as a flood control lake on the Guyandotte River. 

  Fishery  R. D. Bailey provides exceptional fishing for spotted bass and hybrid striped bass. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  Unlimited horse power, lake contains no wake, speed zones, and/or other restricted areas 

  Camping  Camping permit required from area manager 

  Spring Trout  Tailwaters stocked once in February and once every two weeks from March through May 

  Fall Trout  Stocked twice in October 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is allowed
