Middle Wheeling Creek Lake

  Lake  Middle Wheeling Creek Lake 

  Acres  30 

  Directions  Middle Wheeling Creek Lake is a 30-acre impoundment located 4.5 miles southeast of Triadelphia in Ohio County. It is accessible from Triadelphia by traveling east on U. S. Route 40 to County Route 39. 

  Description  The lake was constructed in 1969 with a maximum depth of 15 feet and an average depth of 8 feet. A steep gravel ramp provides launching facilities for small boats. Electric motors only are permitted. Camping and swimming are prohibited. 

  Fishery  Middle Wheeling Creek Lake provides trout fishing during the spring months when trout are stocked once in February and bi-weekly March through May. Limited summer carry over of trout may occur. Largemouth bass fishing is good during spring and summer months. Adult channel catfish are stocked each June. 

  National Forest  National Forest Stamp is not required 

  Boating  Electric motors only 

  Camping  No camping allowed 

  Spring Trout  Stocked once in February and once every two weeks from March through May 

  Fall Trout  Does not receive Fall trout stocking 

  Live Minnows  Live minnows may be used as bait 

  Night Fishing  Night fishing is allowed
